FAQ

+What is today's USD to XOF rate?

The live USD to XOF mid-rate is derived from the official reference rate published by the Central Bank of West African States (BCEAO) and is shown above. BCEAO updates its reference rates each business day.

+Where do the Senegal CFA franc rates come from?

Directly from the Central Bank of West African States (BCEAO), which sets the official reference rates for the West African CFA franc (franc CFA). We mirror the BCEAO figures exactly, with no spread applied.

+Why does Senegal share the same currency with other countries?

Senegal uses the West African CFA franc (XOF), the shared currency of the eight WAEMU (UEMOA) member states — Benin, Burkina Faso, Côte d'Ivoire, Guinea-Bissau, Mali, Niger, Senegal and Togo — and it is issued by the BCEAO. The same official reference rate therefore applies across all of them, and the franc CFA is pegged to the euro at a fixed parity.
