FAQ

+What is today's USD to MAD rate?

The live USD/MAD reference rate published by Bank Al-Maghrib is shown above. Bank Al-Maghrib publishes its reference rates on business days, and we mirror the official figure with no spread applied.

+Where do the dirham rates come from?

Directly from Bank Al-Maghrib (BAM), Morocco's central bank, which publishes the official reference exchange rates (taux de change de reference). We mirror the BAM series exactly, with no markup.

+Are these official Bank Al-Maghrib rates and not parallel-market rates?

Yes. We only publish the official central-bank reference rate from Bank Al-Maghrib (cours de reference / سعر الصرف المرجعي). The dirham is managed within a fluctuation band against a EUR/USD currency basket, so the reference rate moves within those official limits.

+How do I sign in to AfriRate?

AfriRate uses a single Statotech ID — the same account that signs you into every Statotech Systems product. Click Sign In on any page; you will be sent briefly to accounts.statotec.com to enter your password, then come straight back to your AfriRate dashboard. Sign up at afrirate.statotec.com/signup — this creates a Statotech ID (one account across all our products) and lands you on the AfriRate dashboard where your API key (starts with "ar_") is waiting. The free tier covers 10 requests per minute and 300 per day with no credit card. Use the key by passing it in the Authorization header: Bearer ar_xxx....
